There are 549 foreigners of 12 countries in different jails of Bangladesh, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told parliament yesterday.  
The countries are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Nepal, Peru, Algeria, Cameron, Nigeria, Taiwan, Tanzania and Thailand.
Of the total foreigners, 76 are serving jails on different terms while trials are going on against 393 and a process is going on to send 80 to their countries, said the state minister while replying to lawmakers' queries.
