Rabindra University gets new VC

Prof Md Shah Azam has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of Rabindra University for four years.

A gazette notification, signed by Md Mahmudul Alam, deputy secretary of the education ministry, was issued on December 7 in this regard.

Md Sohrab Ali, registrar of the university, said the new VC is likely to join soon.

Prof Shah Azam is the second VC of the university.

Established in 2017 in Sirajganj's Shahzadpur upazila, Rabindra University's first VC Prof Bishwajit Roy's tenure ended on June 14.
