Woman’s body recovered in Chapainawabganj

Police recovered the body of a woman in Shibganj municipality area of Chapainawabganj this morning.

The deceased Jamuna Pal (60) was widow of Sukumar Pal, from Babupara in Shibganj, reports our Chapainawabganj correspondent.     

Quoting family members, Farid Uddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said Jamuna went to her room after dinner last night.

As she was not responding, family members entered her room and found her body in a pool of blood.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body around 10:30am, the OC said.

The body was sent to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
