You can own a boat only for Tk 3,500 in Dhaka

Do you know that there is a market in Dhaka that sells boats? 

Yes there is… although it’s not quite inside Dhaka city, but in a rural area called Nasirnagar under Khilgaon Police Station.

One has to go there through the Basundhara area, or by taking a boat ride on the Balu river from Meradia Bazar in Rampura.

This market, or haat, sits every Thursday for more than a hundred years. If you are interested in boats, you can go there and buy one for as cheap as Tk 3,500. Of course, there are more expensive ones too. Watch the video for more information.
