Putting a new perspective on digital healthcare

Industrialists are known for creating businesses that push the economy forward while also helping society. One such businessman who spends his time and energy on social advancement is the Chairman of Zaynax Group and Alliance Group, Zaeem Ahmed.

Zaeem Ahmed has successfully established a business that helps jobless people and has also contributed to the country's economy - thus inspiring many. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the textile, banking, fintech, and health tech industry. As the Chairman of Zaynax Group and Alliance Group, he has led the company through tremendous growth, expanding its client base and increasing revenue by 50%. 

Ahmed entered the business industry in 1997 and, since then, has spent several years learning the tricks of the trade. He established Zen Trading Ltd. with limited resources and started helping a small group of people stand on their feet through employment. With his determination and vision, the organisation grew every year and within a decade, was successful in acquiring one of the largest knit composite industries, Alliance Knit Composite Ltd., in Bangladesh. Along the way, he promoted textile sustainability, increased productivity, and ensured the country's men and women spent quality time and energy in the right direction. 

Although starting his business in trading and manufacturing, Ahmed transformed his vision and business into digital and technology-based products. With a view of eliminating the gap in health equity for Bangladeshis and using the digital penetration of the country, Ahmed started Zaynax Health in 2022 – Bangladesh's first 'health super app' that delivers comprehensive digital health services like 24/7 doctor audio-video calls, discounted lab tests, hospitalisation cashback, etc. This is effectively revolutionising the healthcare dynamics in the country and directly benefiting thousands of families in the country. 

Ahmed later started a number of other business ventures, such as fintech solutions, eCommerce, IT, fashion houses and garments. All of them went on to become big successes for him. He also noticed a gap in the distribution of goods through online platforms. He decided to explore this opportunity to give the customers more, giving rise to a vibrant online business platform called zDrop. 

Ahmed is concerned about his employees in addition to being a modern businessman. "They are like my family," he adds of his employees. "I constantly make an effort to offer them what they deserve. Because I feel that if people aren't getting what they deserve, I won't be able to carry out my vision," he says. "During the previous pandemic, when other firms closed down due to a lack of employee contentment, my staff were generously compensated. I constantly aim to provide them with the finest chances," he further adds. 

Through participation in corporate social responsibility, Ahmed also contributes to and supports the development of infrastructure to eliminate unemployment, healthcare services, and other social necessities. He set out to alleviate Bangladesh's unemployment problem by significantly increasing employment. 

"With a commitment to innovation, technology, and community engagement, we are trying to contribute to smart Bangladesh and beyond," Ahmed explains. "I am developing my firm and attempting to enhance the country's job situation to contribute to our country's national goals." He has hired over 10,000 employees in textile, healthcare, eCommerce, and fintech. He is also helping bridge the unemployment gap through formal and informal business ventures that create millions of employment opportunities for any country. 

Through payment of taxes and export, Zaeem Ahmed's businesses contribute to government revenue that consequently facilitates development. Thus his business endeavours also help the economy thrive while adding to the GDP. And he doesn't want to stop here. He wants his business to grow according to a global platform to benefit the country and its people further. "I want to expand my territory into borderless. Already, we are taking companies to UAE and Hong Kong. I plan on moving to the UK, America, and Europe too within the next decade," Ahmed states.

Overall, Zaeem Ahmed can be defined as a man of many dreams. Through his leadership and devotion, he is a visionary businessman who is cutting through socioeconomic progress and technological innovation.
