Here’s how you can send messages without notifying receivers on Messenger
Meta, the parent company of Facebook Messenger, is introducing new shortcuts which allow you to send messages silently while you're chatting with your friends.
The two newly introduced shortcuts include @everyone and @silent. @everyone will enable you to notify everyone in a group chat, which can be particularly useful if you want to draw everyone's attention.
The shortcut @silent can be used to send messages without pinging the whole group. This shortcut can also be used to send private messages to friends, without sending them a pop-up notification right away.
Meta also mentioned in an official blog post that it will be introducing new shortcuts in the coming weeks to help users to increase their efficiency in Messenger for both entertainment and practical purposes.
