But Nawsaba has reshaped it, interweaving stories from Bangladesh’s history of resistance, from farmers’ movements to the July 2024 uprising to create what she describes as “a symbolic and political retelling through puppetry and song.”
A talented ensemble of third-year students from the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies will bring the iconic production to life from February 24 to March 1, at the Natmandal Auditorium, under the direction of Assistant Professor Tanvir Nahid Khan. The play will be staged daily at 7pm, with additional shows on February 28 and March 1, at 5:00pm and 7:30pm, respectively.

Chittagong-based music organisation Raktakarabi launched a special music album “Raag-e Robiraag-e” at The Daily Star-Bengal Arts Precinct at The Daily Star Centre on December 9.
