Siam Ahmed urges an end to vandalism of cinema halls

In the wake of the significant win in the students’ movement against discrimination, some individuals vandalised cinema halls in the name of celebrating the victory. Actor Siam Ahmed notably expressed feeling hurt by these attacks. At Prothom Alo's “Meril Cafe Live” event on Monday evening, he urged, “I kindly request everyone not to damage the space where actors and audiences come together.”

Unlike the previous Eid, this one was quite special for the Bangladeshi film industry, as a total of eight films were released in theaters. The movies released were: "Leader Amie Bangladesh", "Jinn", "Kill Him", "Paap", "Shotru", "Prem Pritir Bandhan" and "Adam".

Halls in Narayanganj experience new life

Marking Eid-ul-Fitr, three halls in Narayanganj have been reopened on April 22. New Metro Cinema Hall, located in Khanpur, Narayanganj have premiered Shakib Khan and Shobnom Bubly starrer "Leader: Amie Bangladesh".

Bangladesh to start importing Hindi films?

Concerning the demand to screen Hindi films in their halls, cinema hall owners sat with the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Dr Hasan Mahmud, yesterday. The meeting took place at the offices of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
