Tigresses target top spot

A high-flying Bangladesh will take on the United States in their third and final group stage game in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Nigar Sultana Joty and her troops have already secured their playoff spot, winning the first two games against Ireland and Scotland. If Bangladesh secure a victory today, they will advance as Group A champions.
The winner of the game between Ireland and Scotland in the other match today will qualify as Group A runner up.
In group B, Zimbabwe have already qualified for the next stage with two wins and they will take on hosts UAE. The winner of the Thailand-Papua New Guinea game will qualify for the playoffs alongside Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh remained clinical so far in the tournament after beating Ireland by 14 runs in their opening game of the qualifiers before they crushed Scotland during a six-wicket win.
