Falling giants Mohammedan SC are caught in a wave of draws in the JB Bangladesh Premier League and yesterday they played out another tie against Muktijoddha Sangad.

With the 2-2 stalemate, Mohammedan are ninth in the 12-team table while Muktijoddha Sangsad joined leaders Sheikh Jamal DC on top with nine points from five outings.

Both sides presented an entertaining and fast brand of football on the rain-soaked turf in front of 5,000 spectators, who enjoyed four brilliant goals stuck by 'Towhids'.

After surviving two close calls in the first 20 minutes, Mohammedan took the lead against the run of play when Towhidul Alam Sabuz tapped in on the half-hour mark after a grounder from Biplu Ahmed came his way.

Then Towhid Alam Towhid equalised with a clever shot in the 56th minute to continue his brilliant performance in the league before providing the lead to the All Reds with a spectacular header in the 72nd minute.

However, Towhid's brilliance was for nought as three minutes later, following the mistakes of defender Manik who handled an Abudl Malek lob inside the box, Sabuz brought Mohammedan back by converting a spot kick.
