Fakirerpool Youngmen's Club returned to the top of the Marcel Bangladesh Championship League with a single goal win over Bangladesh Police FC at the Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur yesterday.

Jewel struck the all-important goal in the 14th minute to give the Fakirerpool outfit their first win in six matches, having come into this match on back of a 0-1 defeat against Agrani Bank following four straight draws.

Youngmen's Club are now jointly on top alongside Saif SC with 17 points, but the latter have played a match less. Bangladesh Police are in third position with 15 points.
