‘We must take necessary safeguards against the coronavirus outbreak’

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan called on the people of the country to take necessary safeguards against the coronavirus outbreak.

The cricketer, who is serving a two-year-ban handed by the ICC, with one of those suspended, said that basic sanitary steps should be taken. With the virus already putting the breaks on sporting activities around the world, Shakib asked everyone to take care and also to maintain basic sanitary steps.

"In light of recent events, we must take necessary safeguards against the coronavirus outbreaks. Let's look after ourselves with basic sanitary steps and be considerate of others around us. Stay safe and stay positive," he wrote on a Facebook post yesterday.
