Imrul out for a month with finger injury

Bangladesh batsman Imrul Kayes injured his left leg's little finger while practicing for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, for whom the left-arm batsman will feature in the upcoming Dhaka Premier League (DPL) starting from March 15. The 33-year-old will be out of action for at least a month.
The teams have started their practice for the upcoming DPL and Imrul, who was practicing at the Sheikh Jamal Club field in Dhanmondi for his DPL side on March 9, suffered an injury while fielding.
"It was a bit damp at the Sheikh Jamal field. I hurt my [little finger] while fielding. I sprained my ankle and after x-ray it was revealed that I have a hairline fracture in my [left little] finger bone," said Imrul to The Daily Star.
Imrul also confirmed that he will be out for at least a month due to the injury.
"It usually takes two weeks to recover from such injury. But as I am a player, doctor suggested me to keep the bandage for three weeks. And then I will have to rest for another week. So I will be out for a month," explained Imrul.
Imrul, who played magnificently in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) for Chattogram Challengers earlier this year, was however recently excluded from the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) central contract list.
