Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan signaled that hard measures were to be taken following Bangladesh's innings and 44-run defeat against Pakistan at Rawalpindi today.

Bangladesh succumbed to their sixth successive Test loss -- five of those ending in innings defeat – during their loss to Pakistan and BCB president said he was likely to get more involved with the inner workings of the team's management.

"We have to be very tough obviously. I wanted to stay away from these things. For two years I have been saying that I am not as involved as I was before. But now I feel that I would have to be involved and there is no other remedy. It will happen and tough decisions are likely," BCB president warned.

The BCB president wanted to sit down with the players, coaches and staff to find out the reason behind the failings of the side. We will come to a decision about the [extent of toughness]. We will sit with the players, staff and management to find out in detail what the problem is," he remarked during a press conference today.

Bangladesh lost the T20 series in Pakistan and did not put up a very good fight during their innings defeat inside four days. The series of bad results since the World Cup was in Nazmul's mind and he questioned the mentality and the body language of the side too.

"It is very disappointing what happened in Pakistan. Actually, since the World Cup I have not found the Bangladesh team to be similar to previous times. Their mentality, body language or performance is not similar to before. We won't be sitting on these [results]. We have to work. If you look at the Sri Lanka series, the tri-nation series against Afghanistan [and Zimbabwe], and then Pakistan, also the India tour, you will find that no noticeable improvement was there," he said.
