Plot: The story of a local champion whose drive to be the very best leads him to make decisions that result into his downfall only to be forced to redeem himself.
Review: The very core of the movie is about an ageing sportsman who does not believe in himself anymore seems to be inspired from classic movies of the same genre. The first half of the film was somewhat tedious, without any impact from any of the cast. However, right from the second half of the film, the action really starts to pulsate. The time in the arena of mixed martial arts was full of energy in every aspect of the sequence. Salman Khan did a great job at packing a couple of punches and eloquently showing his urge for not conceding to deadly chokeholds. The ending of the tournament however, seemed rather abrupt with not much clue to give away which one was the final match. The ending of the movie also ended in a haste and the fading credit scenes did not provide enough narration.
The overall score of the film was somewhat monotonous and could not provide the excitement that the latter half of the film deserves with all the pulsating action.
Anuskha Sharma does a decent job at portraying Sultan's wife, Aarfa, whose role is somewhat limited but is provided with a good back-story to her character. Among the cast included real-life martial arts action star and fight choreographers such as Marko Zaror, which overall made the action sequences very much real.
The movie is reasonably entertaining and Salman Khan's display of freestyle wrestling is captivating to watch, and is surely on its way of becoming one of his classics.
