Mukti Bahini ambushes a joint group of Pak army and rangers on Madhukhali-Dosatina highway in Sector No. 8. 26 Pak raiders were killed while six were injured.
300 freedom fighters under the command of Company Commander Hares Uddin fight against the raiders for three days now. They finally manage victory and liberate Shathibari port under Rayganj Thana.
Muslim League leader Khan A Sabur says during a programme celebrating Pakistan’s armed force day that Indo-Pak war may turn into a world war. “India creates ‘Mukti Bahini in East Pakistan, because they cannot fight against Pakistan alone. Who are you fighting against [Mukti Bahini]? The country is already independent!” he adds.
