PM to leave for KSA tomorrow

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tomorrow for a four-day visit.

The prime minister is scheduled to leave Dhaka for Riyadh by a VVIP flight (BG1012) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 3:30pm tomorrow, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said at a press conference at the State Guest House Padma in Dhaka this afternoon.

She is likely to arrive at Royal Terminal at King Khaled International Airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia around 7:00pm (Saudi local time).

Sheikh Hasina will hold a meeting with Saudi Arabia's King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud in Riyadh on October 17, he said.

She will also inaugurate the newly constructed building of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh on the same day and take part in a business seminar organised by councils of Saudi Chambers, said the foreign minister.  

She will also offer prayers at the grave of Prophet Hazrat Mohammed (Pbuh) in Medina on October 18 and perform Umrah at Makkah on the same day, he said. 

The prime minister will lay a foundation stone of Bangladesh Consulate building in Jeddah on October 18. Bangladesh recently bought a piece of land for constructing the building.

Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to return home from Jeddah on October 19.
