JU BCL men demand new committee

A section of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists of Jahangirnagar University is demonstrating on campus, demanding a new BCL committee.

The BCL activists of the seven male dormitories of the university began their movement around 1pm in front of AFM Kamal Uddin Hall, reports our JU correspondent.

Their demands include annulment of the incumbent committee, as its term has already expired. They also demand that Jewel Rana, current president of the BCL JU unit, leaves his dormitory.

On the other hand, supporters of Jewel took position on the rooftop of AFM Kamal Uddin Hall during the protests.

The protesters also declared that Jewel was unwanted. They have been conducting party activities without him.
