The BNP chief sought vote for the Dhaka city corporations mayoral hopefuls, Mirza Abbas and Tabith Awal and, Chittagong city corporation aspirant M Manjur Alam Manju.

Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (Jasas) organised a cultural programme there marking the occasion of Pohela Baishakh.

She alleged that the ruling party, Awami League obstructed the election campaign for  their (BNP) mayoral and councillor aspirants in the forth coming elections scheduled to be held on April 28.

Khaleda joined the programme as chief guest at 5:05pm, said Sairul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP's media wing.

Khaleda Zia last visited her party office in March 2013 when law enforcers allegedly ransacked the BNP headquarters and detained around 166 people.
