Only single motor rider allowed in DMP area

Police in Dhaka have banned any passenger on motorbikes for indefinite period.
In a notice issued recently, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) said the restriction has been imposed for the sake of security of people's life and property and to resist criminal activities as well as sabotage in the area.
The BRTA mentioned in the notice that recently criminal and subversive activities were being carried out using motorbikes.
It also urged the authorities concerned to enforce the restriction until further notice.
