VGF rice sold on black market seized

Law enforcers seized 1,040 kg of rice meant for Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme from a shop at Chalitatola Bazar in Narail Sadar upazila on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, police led by the upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) raided a shop owned by one Ananda Saha at Chalitatola Bazar and seized 1,040 kg of VGF rice kept in 21 sacks.
Police could not arrest the shop owner as he fled the scene, sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
