Another boy fined for stalking

A mobile court fined a school boy Tk 10,000 for stalking a schoolgirl in Tanore upazila on Monday.
Summon Chowdhury, Class X student of Tanore Pilot High School was awarded six months' imprisonment in case of his failure to pay the fine.
However, he was released upon payment of fine instantly before the court of the upazila nirbahi officer Mehdi-ul Hasan Shahid.
Sumon was convicted for intercepting and stalking a female student of Tanore Girls High School at around 11am.
He also manhandled the girl while returning home along with two other friends from a coaching centre.
Hearing the screams of the girl, locals rushed to the scene and caught Sumon. Police later arrested him and placed him before the mobile court.
Sumon confessed to his offence before the court. He said the girl was previously known to him and she borrowed Tk 200 from him. The incident occurred after he wanted his money back.
In another incident on Friday, a mobile court in Chapainawabganj district fined a 12-year-old boy Tk 2,000 for teasing a girl student.
Police said, convict Rasel of Kalupur village under Jhilim union teased the school girl on her way to a coaching centre.
Parents of the girl caught the boy and handed him over to police. Later, a mobile court handed down the verdict.
In Patuakhali, Galachipa upazila Judicial Magistrate's Court on Monday sent two stalkers to jail on charge of sexually harassing a madrasa student on Pankhali Govt Primary School field under the upazila.
The stalkers are Md Reaz, 22, and his brother Md Zakir Hossain, 26, sons of Gedu Majhi of Pankhali village of the same upazila, reports our correspondent.
Police quoting family sources said, Md Reaz tried to forcibly take the 12-year-old student of class-VII of Coutkhali Dakhil Madrasa on his rickshaw while the girl along with her cousins was going to watch the annual sports programme at about noon on Sunday.
Hearing the hue and cry locals went to the spot and caught Reaz. In the meantime, Zakir Hossain and Milon, two brothers of Reaz came to the spot and snatched Reaz from locals.
Jamal Howlader, uncle of the victim, filed a case with Galachipa police station accusing the three brothers.
Later, two of them were arrested on Sunday evening from their house while Milon managed to avert arrest.
