Jubo League leader killed, BNP man's body found

Criminals killed a Jubo League leader of Durgapur upazila at Daodukun village on Wednesday night.
The dead was identified as Abdul Karim, 35, vice-president of Durgapur upazila Jubo League.
Police and locals said, Abdul Karim was returning home from Durgapur upazila headquarters. As he reached near his house, a gang of criminals attacked him with sharp weapons and killed him on the spot.
A case was filed with Durgapur police station in this connection. None was arrested.
In Narsingdi, six days after his abduction, police recovered the body of a local BNP leader yesterday from a ditch in Belabo upazila, reports a correspondent.
The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin, 32, general secretary of Binnabaid union BNP.
Police recovered the body from a sack about a kilometre from Binnabaid union parishad.
Police said Nazim was kidnapped on Saturday nigh by a gang of criminals while he was returning home from the residence of one Kanchan Mia.
Victim's brother on Wednesday filed an abduction case with Belabo police station accusing seven people.
