Ensure proper educational environment for them: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday called for ensuring integrated environment of education to help nurture merit and flourish creativity of children with autism and neuro-developmental disorders (NDD).

"Environment of integrated education is very much important ... ," she said.

The premier said this while witnessing the architectural design of the "National Academy for Autism and Neuro-Development Disabilities (NAAND) Complex" at the Gono Bhaban.

The complex of international standards is being constructed to ensure fair and equal education for children with autism and NDD.

Hasina said that open and natural environment play an important role in physical and psychological development of those children.

She put emphasis on creating new trainers and teachers apart from upgrading training for current teachers for children with autism and NDD.
