Zayed Khan remains undefeated after Nipun's appeal, actress to hold press conference tomorrow

General Secretary Zayed Khan retained his post, as actress Nipun faces defeat twice in the recount of votes for the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association election.

Sohanoor Rahman Sohan, head of the appellate division, confirmed to the Daily Star that the result given by the election commission was indeed correct.

During the recount of votes, the appellate division was present along with Ilias Kanchan, Nipun, Zayed Khan, and Joy Chowdhury.

"I will not say anything right now," said Nipun. "I will reveal everything about the re-count through my press conference at 4 pm tomorrow," added the actress.

A total of 23 votes were lost during the electoral process. Among the 23 votes, Nipun's 14 votes, Zayed's 12 votes, and 3 blank ones became invalid due to mistakes by the voters.
