Pakistan's Azam taken to hospital after being hit on the head
Pakistan batsman Azam Khan was taken to the hospital after being hit on the head off the bowl of a fast bowler during a practice session in Guyana today.
The young batsman has been ruled out of Pakistan's second and third T20I against the West Indies due to the injury, confirmed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a statement.
Azam, son of former Pakistan skipper Moin Khan, has been advised to stay under observation of a neurosurgeon for 24 hours before being reassessed on Monday.
The first T20I between Pakistan and the West Indies was washed out due to rain after only nine overs were bowled. The remaining four games of the series will be played in Guyana.
The two teams will also play a two-Test series after the T20Is.
