Lychee, mango harvest in Natore to begin on May 10, 20 respectively
Natore district administration has set May 10 and 20 for starting lychee and mango harvest respectively.
The decision was taken following a views-exchange meeting with fruit cultivators and traders at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room today, reports our Natore correspondent.
Natore DC Mohammad Shah Riaz presided over the meeting.
According to the decision, harvest of Gopalbhog will begin on May 20; Lakshmanbhog on May 25, Khirsapat on May 28, Lengra on June 5 and Mohonbhog on June 15.
The district administration has set the date for checking unlawful practices of harvesting unripe mangoes and lychees and ripening those using chemicals.
