Borders be relaxed for patients

Borders be relaxed for patients

Recently I visited India and R. N. Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) for treatment of my younger sister who's suffering from some neurological disorder. The outcome of the treatment was very fruitful. In fact, she had been undergoing treatment in one of the leading hospitals in Bangladesh but certain things were missing from her treatment which the physicians at RTIICS have succeeded in identifying which prompted appropriate treatment.
In this age of globalisation, when every human being is considered a member of the global family, I  strongly feel that geographical/political borders should be relaxed allowing a patient to avail of the medical facilities and expertise available in countries other than his/her own. This will greatly reduce the pain and sufferings of the ailing people and help them get well quicker. In this respect SAARC can play an effective role towards sharing medical expertise and facilities between its member nations.
