A Dhaka court today placed AB Siddique Dipu, protocol officer of Haji Salim's business organisation Madina Group, on two-day fresh remand in the case filed for assaulting navy officer Lt Wasif Ahmed Khan.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Masudur-Ur-Rahman passed the order after investigation officer Mobinul Haque, also sub-inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police, produced Dipu before the court with a five-day remand prayer in the case.

Earlier on October 27, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder placed Dipu on a three-day remand in the case.
