HC bench officer dismissed on charges of misconduct

The Supreme Court administration has dismissed a bench officer of the High Court on charges of misconduct.

The allegation against bench officer Muhammad Murshedul Hasan has been found true following an investigation, a Supreme Court press release said yesterday.

The press release signed by SC Spokesman Md Saifur Rahman said a departmental case was filed against Murshedul in 2018 over his misconduct in the service.

Murshedul has been dismissed from the service under the directive of Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, said the press release.

The press release did not give details on Murshedul, who is reportedly now in jail for running an illegal narcotics business.
