Easy win for young Tigers
Mahmudul Hasan Joy guided the Bangladesh Under-19s to a seven-wicket victory over their English counterparts at Cheltenham yesterday.
Chasing a target of 242 runs, Joy (81) and Towhid Hridoy (75 not out) ensured a comfortable win for the young Tigers after openers Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain provided a solid start by scoring 20 and 32 respectively. The win, achieved with nine balls to spare, was the second success for the Bangladesh youth side in the tri-nation series also involving India Under-19s.
