Iftar with JAAGO
Jaago Foundation celebrated its 11th "Iftar with JAAGO" with 3000 underprivileged
students and 1000 well-wishers of the foundation. The Iftar took place at 12 JAAGO schools in 11 districts of Bangladesh, all of which were connected live via JAAGO's Online Platform with International Convention City Bashundhara's on May 27, 2018.
The gathering was even more special as JAAGO celebrated the graduation of its first SSC batch. On achieving a 100 percent passing rate under the Bangladesh Government's English Version, the slogan "You believed, We nurtured, They achieved" resonated well enough throughout the celebration. The encouragement these students received from JAAGO's supporters and well-wishers who attended the event, is hoped to inspire the young minds to do even better and soar higher in the future.
Every year, JAAGO celebrates the Annual Iftar to bring together their children and supporters under one roof in order for them to connect and share the blessings of the month. The moral support of the sponsors and well-wishers has given JAAGO the ability to work their way towards their vision of breaking the cycle of poverty through education.
The SSC candidates alongside many children from the JAAGO schools were graced by the presence of the Honorary State Minister, Nasrul Hamid, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resource; alongside other notable personalities such as Nicholas Papp, Public Affairs Officer, American Centre; Rubaba Dowla, Managing Director, Pulse Healthcare Service; and Wasfia Nazreen. Many other dignitaries were present as well to support the auspicious event.
The Iftar was supported by OMEGA LPG, who also was the main sponsor of the event along with Epyllion Group, Beximco Pharma, Olympic Group, MBM Group, Kazi & Kazi Tea Estate Ltd, and Bongo BD. K Nasif Photography, Aamra and Max Secure Ltd also supported the event by providing videography, internet and security services respectively.
The JAAGO children were inspired and humbled to be able to share their success stories in front of such eminent personalities. Especially after the SSC candidates narrated their journey at JAAGO from reception and their struggle to achieve the outstanding results in their SSC examination, the supporters spoke personally to these children and encouraged the children to pursue their dreams.
With the love and support from everyone associated with JAAGO, JAAGO Iftar 2018 was made not only possible, but also memorable.
