Some Television programmes to watch on Rabindra Jayanti

This year, different television channels of Bangladesh are remembering Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti. Here is a small list of recommendations.

Channel i: Every year, Channel i organizes 'Igloo-Channel i Rabindra Mela' and this year will be no exception. The fair will start on May 8 from 3.05 PM.  On May 8 at 7.30 AM, Gaane Gaane Shokaal Shuru will be aired with the presence of different Rabindra Sangeet singers. Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya's solo musical show Robir Gaane Gaane Bhin Shohore Meghaloy, directed by Shahidul Alam Sachchu will be aired at 7.50 PM.

Banglavision: Bangla drama Dalia based on Tagore's short-story Dalia will be aired On 8 May 9.05 pm. Actors like Bhabna, Anisur Rahman Milon and Rana Khan  have acted in the drama. On the same day at 11.25 PM, musical show Ami Kaan Pete Roi with singers Anima Roy and Joyita and recurring artist Shimul Mustafa will be aired.

Rawnak Hasan and Tarin in Modhdhobortini

ATN Bangla: Rabindra Jayanti will start at 7.30 AM with the show Chayer Chumuke. Lily Islam is the guest on the show. At 8.30 AM, Mita Haque will be performing on musical show called Aaj Shokal Er Gaan. Eva Rahman's Mone ki Didha will be aired at 6.25. Special magazine ceremony Anondoloke will be aired at 8 PM. Apart from these, Rabindra Jayanti special Bangla drama Phaanki with Tutul Chowdhury, Aparna Ghosh, Nadia Nodi and Arman Parvez Murad, based on Tagore's poem Phaanki will be aired on ATN Bangla at 9 PM.

RTV: Toposhshini, featuring Afran Nisho, Zakia Bari Mamo and Shilpi Sarkar Apu will be aired at 9.10 AM. Special documentary Gitanjoli Theke Song Offerings will be aired at 6.05 PM. Tagore special drama Moddhobortini, starring Tarin Jahan, Rawnak Hasan, Nanziz Hasan Chumki, will be aired at 8 PM.

Desh TV: Rabindra Jayanti special dance show Nupur Beje Jaye will be aired at 6 PM  and special musical show Amar Hiyar Majhe will be aired at 7 PM. Special live show Nobo Robi Kirone will be aired at 9.45 PM.  Artistes Aditi Mohsin, Bulbul Islam and HasanArif will be present in the show.

NTV: At 6.55 AM, special show Shokonthe Rabindranath will be telecasted. Special drama, Dorpoharan starring Sumaiya Shimu, Mosharraf Karim and Habib Masud will be aired at 11.30 PM
