The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) yesterday filed a case accusing unnamed miscreants for vandalising vehicles and property on the campus the day before.

Golam Kibria, chief security officer of CU, filed the case with Hathazari Police Station yesterday afternoon.

A faction of the university’s Bangladesh Chhatra League on Tuesday vandalised the proctor’s office, 14 vehicles belonging to the university and five rooms of the university’s dramatics department. They also vandalised a vehicle of Somoy TV and physically assaulted two journalists in front of the proctor’s office, witnesses said.
