Ctg cotton factory gutted in fire

A fire, originating from an electric short circuit around 10:00pm on Monday, gutted a cotton factory in Chittagong city's Aturar Depot area.

Three firefighting units doused the blaze after a four-hour effort, said Humayun Kabir of Chittagong fire service.

No casualty was reported. Extent of damage could not be estimated immediately, he added.
