Bollywood shows love to Anushka's “Phillauri” trailer

The trailer of Anushka Sharma's upcoming film, “Phillauri”, is getting a whole lot of love on the internet, especially Twitter. The 28-year-old actress unveiled the much-awaited trailer on Monday, and it has gone past 5 million views inside the first two days. 

Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar also gave the trailer their thumbs-ups. “Awesome! Lovely trailer! So Fresh”, wrote Ranveer. Shah Rukh, with whom Anushka made her Bollywood  debut in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”, also called the trailer “Too too sweet.”

“I love this trailer!!! It tells a story that you want to know all about,” said Karan Johar, who directed Anushka in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar tweeted: “This looks absolutely delightful.”

Mahira Khan, Dia Mirza and Twinkle Khanna were among others tweeting about the trailer. 

The general verdict on Twitter is that filmgoers cannot wait to watch the movie, which also stars singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in key roles. 

“Phillauri” is Anushka's second venture as a producer, after her 2015 crime drama “NH10”, and tracks the story of a boy, who is accidentally married to a ghost, played by Anushka. Diljit features as an aspiring musician from Punjab in the snippets of the ghost bride's past. 

The film releases March 24.
