BCB to oppose 2-tier Tests
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in an official statement has said that they will oppose the two-tier policy introduced in the draft proposal formed by the cricket boards of India, England and Australia. They were however, yet to decide their opinion on the other aspects of the draft.
"The draft proposal had a lot of components, one of which was Bangladesh not playing Test cricket from 2015," BCB's spokesperson Jalal Yunus said. "All 23 directors were opposed to going down to the second tier. The BCB are against Bangladesh playing in the second tier."
The statement yesterday, came amidst growing criticism after the BCB directors had voted 20-3 in favour of the proposal.
