Militant Zia to be arrested anytime: Kamal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said one of the masterminds of Dhaka café attack Major (Retd) Zia will be arrested anytime.

“Zia is now under the watch of intelligence agencies. He will be arrested anytime,” the minister said while distributing clothes among destitute in Shamibagh area of Dhaka, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

He said all the people who were involved in Dhaka café attack have already been identified.

Many of them were already detained and rest of the perpetrators are now under the watch of intelligence agencies, Kamal said.

About Tangail and Gazipur raids, Kamal said it is a part of regular activities of the law enforcement agencies. Police and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) jointly carried out the operations.

The home minister distributed clothes on the occasion of the five-day long Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, which is being celebrated with enthusiasm and due religious fervour across the country.
