The Perfect Classroom

Have you ever walked into a classroom and something just didn't feel right? Maybe the lights were shining too bright or the air conditioning made the room drafty? Almost all of us have, at one point, imagined the perfect classroom for us to take selfies in with a book open somewhere nearby. Let's take a look at some of the things we've all wished for.

Smart-boards: To be fair, almost all of us already have these touch-screen boards in our classrooms now but I remember the days when I used to get all excited about projectors and boards like these. My friends and I used ours the first time to recreate one of those "90's MS paint bad-boys" that everyone apparently drew. Ah yes, good technologically challenged times.

Teachers with a lot of stories: They will drone on and on, but the best part is, you can keep them happy by just laughing a bit at inappropriate times and make them feel like they're really funny. Maybe give them a round of applause when they say something even with the slightest tinge of pride. They wouldn't even mind you chatting away with your friends at the back. Best kind of teacher apart from those that actually want to make you learn stuff.

Non-smelly bathrooms: I know it sounds gross, but I have yet to find a hygienic bathroom attached to a classroom. Most of the credit goes to the canteen food in almost every school. It really does live up to its worldwide reputation of being indigestible mush. The lack of sufficient soap and toilet paper repulses me. Maybe sanitation just isn't one of our schools' main priorities. The colour of our shoes are just so much more important.

A great view: Almost all of us have had those days when we kind of disconnect from the class and need a break from the boring old routine. Our parents will never understand this need for self-contemplation from time to time and send us to school anyway. So the best escape would be to take a seat right next to the window, look out at the beautiful scenery and just zone out. Some of us probably even do this on a daily basis. If the view from the classroom's window is the window of another building's bathroom's window (like the view from my room), it just adds to the list of miseries in class.
