Admission test in city govt schools begins today

Admission test of 24 government schools in the city begins today.

This year, officials said, more than five students are contesting for one seat.

Around 32,274 students will sit for admission test for 7,381 seats in the government schools from class one to nine. Officials of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka Zone, said the admission test will be held on January 9, 11 and 13.

Admission test of candidates for class one to class five will be held from 9 am to 11 am while for class six to class nine will be held from 1.30 pm to 3 pm.

Education Directorate will centrally supervise the admission test and answer papers of a school will be examined by teachers of another school.

Admit cards had already been sent to the applicants from the respective schools and all preparations for the test have been completed.
