Three houses gutted, animals burnt alive

Three dwelling houses were burnt to ashes while many domestic animals roasted alive in a devastating fire at Tangarpara in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.

Locals said two cows, two goats and many poultry birds were charred and huge paddy damaged when the fire originated at the house of Ibrahim.

The extent of damage was estimated at Tk 2 lakh but reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.

Hearing screaming, local people rushed to the spot and brought the flame under control.
