Two shot in B'baria clash

At least two people were shot and four others injured during a clash over land dispute in Sadar upazila of the district yesterday.

Bullet-hit Mohammad Ali, 45, son of Abul Foyez, and Babul Mia, 60, of Ulchapara village were first taken to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment while four others took treatment locally.

Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Police Station Md Nabir Hossain said there had been a longstanding rivalry between two siblings Abul Foyez and Abul Khayer over the ownership of a disputed land.
