BSF kills 1

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) yesterday shot dead a Bangladeshi national along Putkhali border point in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district.
The dead is Imran Hossain, 24, a cattle trader, and son of Mahir Uddin of Hariharnagar village of the upazila.
Lt Col Qazi Asaduzzaman, commanding officer of 6 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion in Mirpur under Kushtia sector, confirmed the incident.
The BGB official said BSF troops of Putkhali camp in Nadia district of Paschimbangla sprayed bullets on Imran when he was returning to Bangladesh with some cattle through the border point around 6:30am. Imran died on the spot.
