Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka celebrated World Tourism Day with the aim to promote Bangladesh as a chosen tourist destination for foreign travellers. The Lobby Lounge area had a number of colourful stalls offering Bangladeshi handicrafts, clothes, souvenirs and snacks. The hotel hosted a three-day-long Bangladeshi Food Festival from 26-28 September at its Café Bazar Restaurant offering delicious, mouthwatering Bangladeshi Traditional Cuisine in celebration of the World Tourism Day.
There was the all-time favorite Bengali style “shutki”, assorted “bhorta”, chutneys, “panta bhat” and pickles, hilsa fry, “pitha” and assorted traditional sweetmeats, to name a few dishes on the extensive menu.
