Ramakrishna Mission: Savita Bhaban inaugurated

"I feel incredibly fortunate to have fulfilled my late wife's dream."

These were the words of industrialist Subal Chandra Saha during the inauguration of Savita Bhaban in Ramakrishna Mission, named after his late wife Savita Rani Saha, who was a devotee of the mission.

The building was inaugurated in its newly built auditorium yesterday. The expenses of the building have been financed by Subal himself.

Savita Bhaban is a multipurpose building with an auditorium, a library and a publishing and information centre.

The building was inaugurated by Adhyaksha Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka and Diksha Guru Maharaj of Ramakrishna Sangha in Bangladesh.

The inauguration ceremony was followed by a discussion meeting, titled "125th anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission: Sacrifice and Service".

Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj was the chief guest of the discussion.

He discussed the significance of Ramakrishna Paramhansa's philosophy and its interpretation. "Ramakrishna Paramahansa is the inspiration for all of our works. But Swami Vivekananda is the interpreter of Ramakrishna's works, while Maa Sarada Devi's interpretation is the most vital one."

Adhyaksha Swami Jyotirmayanandaji Maharaj, secretary of Matri Mandir and Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Sevashrama, and Swami Jnanalokananda Maharaj, secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda's Ancestral House & Cultural Centre and member of the Board of Trustees Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, were present as special guests.

President of Ramakrishna Mission's managing committee Justice Soumendra Sarker presided over the programme.
