"Kaderia Bahini" was one of the most valiant irregular forces -- having crucial contribution to Bangladesh's liberation in 1971.

The force led by Krishak Sramik Janata League President, Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddique, was formed in his name and was based in Tangail.

Kaderia Bahini's guerrillas put up strong resistance in the district and adjoining region against the Pakistani army.

After the country attained independence, Abdul Kader Siddique received "Bir Uttam" title for his extraordinary contribution in the war. Sixteen other freedom fighters from the force were also honoured with "Bir Bikram" and "Bir Protik" titles.
