Perera's ton in drawn game

Sri Lanka Under-19s' Kusal Perera slammed an unbeaten century in the drawn second four-day game against Bangladesh Under-19 at the Birshreshtha Shahid Matiur Rahman Stadium in Khulna yesterday.
Bangladesh had scored 257 in 98.1 overs, giving away a lead of 23 runs in their first innings before the visitors scored 260-6 from 74 overs as the game petered out. The first four-dayer between the two sides was also drawn.
The Sri Lankan left-hander cracked a dozen boundaries in his 177-ball knock of 114 as he shared 165 runs for the sixth wicket with Imesh Udayange who made an enterprising 78 off 127 balls. The Lankans were troubled by the pace of paceman Kamrul Islam Rabbi who picked up three for 36 from his eleven overs. Captain Mahmudul Hasan also took two wickets while there was one for leg-spinner Sabbir Rahman Rumman.
Earlier in the day, Noor Hossain Munna got out immediately after reaching 50 as the remaining home batsmen did not last long. Taibur Rahman, who was unbeaten on 54 when the day started, scored 79 off 226 balls with the help of eight boundaries.
The two teams now play a five-match one-day series that begins in Jessore.
