Novartis marks Community Partnership Day

Novartis Bangladesh Ltd has recently joined hands with Novartis AG to celebrate its International Community Partnership Day, an annual voluntary event by the company to benefit people in local communities.
More than 90 associates in Bangladesh engaged in voluntary activities in their communities together with more than 14,500 associates worldwide, Novartis said in a recent press statement.
"In Bangladesh, more than 100 associates have spent a day with the students of JAAGO Foundation. Novartis Bangladesh has donated several sets of English and Bangla story books as well as some encyclopaedias for the students and also plan to set up the recreational centre by donating a TV and a DVD player along with some children's documentary DVDs and cartoons," it said.
“The day gives us the opportunity as an individual to reflect on our social responsibilities and that together we make a difference to people and society,” said Ashfaque ur Rahman, managing director of Novartis Bangladesh Ltd.
