Fire kills 3 Bangladeshis in Bahrain
Fire killed three Bangladeshi workers and injured seven others at a labour camp at Manama in Bahrain last Friday.
The dead are Tota Mia alias Faruk, 40, and his brother Kadar Mia, 32 of Jagannathpur village under Kamalganj upazila of Moulovibazar, and Masud of Dhopatila village of the upazila, says an official handout of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign and Expatriates' Welfare Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury condoled the deaths. He prayed for the departed souls and expressed sympathy for the bereaved family members.
The adviser has asked the Bangladesh embassy in Bahrain to immediately send the bodies home and take measures to realise compensations from the employer.
