Tareq Salahuddin's “Oparthib Jochhnar Kabyoâ€
“Oparthib Jochhnar Kabyoâ€, a poetry book by Tareq Salahuddin, featuring a total of 57 poems, was launched recently at the Ekushey Book Fair. The book has been published from Jagriti Publications.
The poet is a physician by profession. His poetry is simple, romantic and vibrant. Many of his poems also depict the typical natural and social setting. His uncomplicated language and simple presentation are two significant traits. Salahuddin is pensive, and embarked on a voyage to poetic fantasy.
When one reads “Oparthib Jochhnar Kabyo†keenly, one can read the poet's mind and soul as well. The rendering of love, affection and nostalgia is very clear in the poems of Salahuddin. His admiration for beauty and nature comes in recurrently with the frustrations, pains, longings and dissatisfaction associated with urban life. In his poems, he uses the imagery of the rainbow, moonlit night, the cloudy sky, cool silence at random.
